Aria Music and Theatre Conservatory is the fruit of labour of Hitesh Rikki Madan (Founder member, vocalist and guitarist with Eka, ex-lead guitarist of Euphoria) and Payal Sharma Madan, who embarked on this journey with a vision to bring under one roof the teaching and learning of the performing arts.  The school was initially started as a centre for formal learning in music, and then later expanded to include Drama and Speech.

Aria is the only one of its kind school in west Delhi and what sets it apart is that it is the only performing arts school to stage original musicals: right from designing a concept, scripting, writing lyrics, producing and composing music, to preparing performers to present a whole show in a true musical format. Aria was awarded the “Best Music School” at the Jack Daniel Awards in 2007-08.

The two primary foci at Aria are:

  • To get students to take exams and thus get accreditation from universally recognized universities: Trinity, London and Rockschool, London in western disciplines, and from Prayag Sangeet Samiti in Hindustani Classical music.

  • To provide ample scope for students to perform live in order to help apply what they learn and gain hands-on experience.

The growing popularity of Rockschool in India and the inclusion of Rock and Pop contemporary streams by Trinity have only furthered formal education in contemporary music in India and Aria is proud to be one of the harbingers of this revolution in music education in the country. The systems at Aria are constantly evolving, all in aim to devise the right syllabus and instruments of learning and make the process comprehensive and all-encompassing. The endeavour is to groom students to be honest, humble musicians, true to their art and with the right attitude towards learning.
